Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte caught the attention of the world after cursing out a British journalist who asked him about killings related to his administration’s drug war.

President Duterte became upset after a foreign Journalist asked him about the high death toll that has become a hallmark of the new war on drugs during a November 23 press conference.

Duterte cussed at the British television reporter, Jonathan Miller, the Asian correspondent of Britain’s Channel 4 News.

According to a report of Inquire.net, the news conference was reportedly aired live by the state-run People’s Television Network, was held on Mr. Duterte’s return from the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Lima, Peru.

Miller upset the Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte after asking him about killings related to his administration’s drug war after going on a lengthy rant on the hypocrisy of the United States for criticizing the Philippines about the matter.

The video during the interview with President Duterte went viral. Duterte can be seen in the video asking Miller if he has any more questions. When Miller says “No,” Duterte responds “Give me the meaning of ‘hypocrisy’, and I will address myself to the international viewers.

He can then be heard muttering “putang ina mo” – which translates to ”son of a (–foul word(s) removed–)” – with the microphone still on.
