Batac Health Officer: No Record Of Marcos’ Remains Has Kept
The remains of Ferdinand Marcos were displayed inside a mausoleum for 23 years in Batac, Ilocos Norte, but the city doesn’t have any record or document for Marcos’ remains
The remains of the late dictator were previously displayed inside a mausoleum that was open for public viewing. But city official had not kept any record of Marcos remains to assure that Marcos body would not cause risk to the health of the community.
Marcos’ remain was kept inside the Marcos ancestral house and museum with a controlled-temperature mausoleum. The museum was regularly visited by sanitary inspectors, according to Dr. Alicia Agbayani, a city health officer.
Alicia admitted that her staff did not keep any visiting record of their inspection for there was no incident happened that could trigger the recording. The remains were kept inside the sealed glass encasement, therefore, Marcos’ body has never considered a health risk, according to Agbayani.
