Kerwin confessed that he was making P15 million every 40 days but hoped to have more by giving then Secretary of Justice Leila de Lima P8 million.
Alleged bigtime drug lord in Eastern Visayas Rolan “Kerwin” Espinosa confessed that then Secretary of Department of Justice (DOJ) and now Senator Leila de Lima protected him and his illegal drug trade.
The confession was made during the inquiry of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs, chaired by Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, which investigates the brutal killing of Kerwin’s father, Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr., inside the Leyte Sub-provincial jail last November 5.
As confessed by Kerwin, he was earning P15 million every 40 days at the height of his illegal drug business from 2012 to 2015, but half of the proceeds goes to about 15 police officials who protected him and his business.

The younger Espinosa also confessed that he had hoped to go big time by giving a total of P8 million to De Lima and told the panel how he gave cash to her and her driver and bodyguard, who was later confirmed to be also her lover, Ronnie Dayan.
