The photo of the poor boy was posted by Facebook user Kenneth Almeida Panlilio on the social media. According to his post, he saw the poor kid studying along the foot bridge of SM North Edsa.
His post went viral on Facebook, as many of the Filipino netizens who read the November 17 Facebook post by photographer Panlilio reacted and shared his post.
Some of the netizens shared that they always saw the boy in his usual area. Some recalled chatting with him or giving him money.
Netizen shared that the boy and his brother can be found in Trinoma and SM North EDSA in Quezon City, where they sell Sampaguita flowers.
