Former President Ferdinand Marcos to be given a full military honors at Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Burial of the former President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani possibly be given an award of full military honors similar to Former President Elpidio Quirino.
Despite strong opposition from the families of Martial Law victims, Supreme Court was in favor that Marcos was qualified to be buried at the heroes’ cemetery as former president and soldier.
In a Nov. 8 ruling, the Supreme Court supported president Rodrigo Duterte’s decision to honor the country’s original strongman leader by giving him a spot in the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The decision that Marcos be buried at the Heroes Cemetery was announced and along with this, he will be given the highest honors that can be accorded to anyone buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Wherein there might be military honors like that in a state burial, but that has yet to be finalized.
