President Duterte Not Puzzled On Espinosa’s Death Inside Jail Cell
On Wednesday (November 09, 2016), President Rodrigo Duterte found nothing in puzzling the death of Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa.
Regarding, Espinosa’s death inside his jail cell, the president said that he did not want to pass the judgment on police action anymore and he said that he was not puzzled. Duterte also mentioned a government employee that uses the position and government money to produce illegal substance and destroying the lives of any people in the country.
Despite the reports of Leyte police provincial Internal Affairs Service (IAS) are in contrast with the claims made by a team from Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) who went to Baybay sub-provincial jail and conduct a raid on Espinosa’s cell, Duterte still made his remarks.
Inmates said that there was no shootout happened during the raid to search for illegal drugs and weapon inside jail cells, according to the internal affair reports but CIDG-8 stated that the two men fired the police officers, who fired back that causes the death of Mayor Espinosa.
