Martial Law Victims Chant “Huwag Matakot, Makibaka!” Battle Cry At UP Diliman

The Martial Law Victims gathered at UP Diliman and chanted a familiar battle cry.

Martial Law Victims united at University of the Philippines in Diliman after the Supreme Court announced its verdict on the burial issue of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

The issue on the burial of former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr. has been a bit silent these past years but it has never died. For decades, it has become one of the matters wherein Filipinos are not on the same side.

Recently, after assuming the post, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte gave the go signal for the Marcos burial at Libingan ng mga Bayani. In a few time after it a lot of petitions were filed at the Supreme Court to block the move.

The Supreme Court has put the preparation on hold and an oral arguments took place. After hearing both sides, the Court has recently released its decision and it allows the burial of the late dictator at the resting place for heroes and presidents.
