The Singapore Airlines wants to have another plane as part of their fleet but the candidate aircraft is no ordinary one because it will be the longest jet of the world.

Two aerospace giants, Boeing and Airbus, are vying to win the ambitious and expensive deal in making the longest jet of the world.

Singapore Airlines is expected to back one of the company’s designs by the end of the year, according to officials familiar with the campaign.

An official said that there is a “pretty fierce campaign for this” order from Singapore.

The engineers of Singapore Airlines are conducting an evaluation on the PowerPoint presentations of Boeing and Airbus planes, and both would be the longest twin-aisle jets ever built and the biggest with just a couple of engines.

The planes will be about the length of a football pitch, from nose to tail.
