Taylor Swift earns more then twice as much as Adele who ranked second in the “Highest Paid Women in Music” by the Forbes Magazine.

American pop singer Taylor Swift this year’s Forbes Magazine “highest paid women in music”, earning as much as $170 million £138m.

Most of her earnings came from her 1989 World Tour, having a gross income of $250 million, while $200 million came from her North American tour alone.

Taylor also got her impressive earnings from her various brand endorsements for the likes of Keds, Diet Coke and Apple, and she also shifted over three million album-worth of music.

She has been building her fan base for years, and that fan base crosses multiple market segments. It’s this ability to appeal to younger and older audiences, and those in between, that makes Taylor such a sure bet with both concert promoters and brands who want to affiliate with her and with the community she has cultivated”, according to Entertainment attorney Lori Landew.
