No Comment: The United States Says About The Firearms Deal

The United States of America gives no comment about the supposed arms deal that was not pursued.

NO COMMENT – The United States of America (USA) State Department gives no comment on the supposed decision to stop the supposed selling of assault rifles to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

According to State Department spokesman John Kirby, they are not allowed to discuss or even just give a comment about the status of the defense sales of the United States.

The US is supposed to supply 26 thousand assault rifles to the PNP Organization.

Kirby’s statement was made although it was previously clarified that the assault rifles to be sold to the PNP are commercial sales and not under a government to government transfer.

But despite of this, the US State Department assured that they will still continue to work with the US Congress to give the security assistance their allied countries need, including the Philippines.
