Several Barangays In Cagayan Were Unreachable Due To Super Typhoon Lawin
Super Typhoon Lawin or “Haima” left 13 barangays isolated and unreachable due to the damaged bridges in Peñablanca, Cagayan.
The transportation of relief supplies to several barangays in Cagayan become difficult due to the two bridges destroyed by the flood during the devastation of Super Typhoon Lawin. The place becomes unreachable for the rescuers on the current situations of 13 barangays.
The bridge connecting Barangay Cabasan, Kabbo, and Tawi Bridge were destroyed by the flash floods resulting to the isolation of 13 barangays. Residents need to ride o rescue boat and cross the river in order to give updates on their current situation to barangay officials, according to Peñablanca Vice Mayor Marilyn Taguinod.
The 13 barangays that were isolated due to the damaged bridges are Minanga, Lappi, Callao, San Roque, Nannaryan, Agugaddan, Malibabbag. Cabasan, Bugatay, Sisim, Mangga, Buyun, and Nabbabalayan.
