The VACC wants the Philippine Coast Guard and Maritime Police investigated for possible accomplices.
The Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) believes that there have been accomplices or has been connivance in the escape of bigtime drug lord Kerwin Espinosa from the Philippines in the middle of the intensified anti-drug campaign of the government.
VACC Chairman Emeritus Dante Jimenez said in an interview that Espinosa could have fled through one of the ports in Mindanao to Sabah, Malaysia until he reached Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates.
According to Jimenez, the only way that Espinosa could leave is by sea or through pump boats crossing from Mindanao to Sabah, just like any fugitive does to escape from the Philippines.

And by this, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Maritime Police could have turned a blind eye or intentionally let Espinosa escape.
Jimenez reminded that with Kerwin’s wealth out of illegal drug operation, he can easily get his way out.
