Kerwin Espinosa was recently arrested in Abu Dhabi. The arrest was confirmed by the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
October 17, 2016, Monday, PNP Chief director Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa showed up to the media and announced the arrest of suspected drug lord Kerwin Espinosa in Abu Dhabi.
The information was reportedly confirmed from the Overseas Filipino workers in Abu Dabhi that led to the arrest of Espinosa. Dela Rosa announced the details of the arrest of Kerwin Espinosa.
According to a report of Inquirer.net, Dela Rosa announced the details about the arrest by saying, “With the help of Abu Dhabi police, just this morning 2 a.m. our team arrested Kerwin Espinosa,” he said.
Dela Rosa said that the information from overseas Filipino workers in Abu Dhabi led to the arrest of Espinosa. At a press conference in Camp Crame, Dela Rosa said Espinosa was arrested in an operation conducted by the Abu Dhabi police and PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Group (AIDG) in coordination with Interpol.
Kerwin is the son of Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa, who was also recently arrested by the police.
