CHR Should Apologize Over ‘Coward’ Remarks, Gordon Says

Gordon Expects Apology For The ‘Unfair’ Remarks Of CHR Commissioner

CHR should apologize over their ‘Coward’ remarks made by one of its commissioners to allow them to present their witnesses on EJK incidents, Gordon says.

On Wednesday (October 12, 2016), Senator Richard Gordon demands an apology from Commission on Human Rights (CHR) and the agency should penalize Roberto Eugenio Cadiz, one of its commissioner, who slammed Gordon by calling him a “coward” and saying the senator was “afraid” of conducting the hearing.

Senator Miguel Zubiri, a colleague of Gordon said that Cadiz’s remarks was an ‘insult’ to the senate and its history and raised an issue during the plenary session. Zubiri also said that he demands an apology and he would like to hear an explanation because the commissioner’s statement was truly unfair and he can’t just let it pass.
