Relatives Of Victims Not Contented With Arrest Of Blast Suspects

Relatives of the Davao Night Market blast happy for the arrest of three suspects but too far to be called contented.

The relatives of the victims of the September 2 Davao Night Market blast are still enraged despite the arrest of three suspects who are members of the Maute Group.

The blast claimed 14 lives and left 70 others wounded after a bag containing an improvised explosive device suddenly exploded in the middle of a lively crowd.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Mr. Edmund Arellano, husband of the massage therapist Maria Luz Arellano who did not survive the attack, although he is half happy that three of the ten suspects were already captured by the authorities, he is not still contented because the mastermind still remain unidentified.

Arellano believes that the arrested suspects were only paid to do the crime and the will to cause the damages was with the mastermind.

He was not able to stop himself from cursing and saying that he wants to pull the trigger himself to finish the men behind the Davao Night Market bombing.

Mr. Arellano admitted that he is now struggling with life, having lost an arm, his wife.

Edmund is currently jobless after he chose to resign to be a hands-on parent to their motherless children.

“Kompleto ang saya ko kung sana mahuli kung sino talaga ang nag-utos na pinuno. Alam ko na hindi yan, na binabayaran lang yan na gumawa. Gusto ko yong pinakapinuno… susunugin ko yan”, an angry Edmund said.

In previous interviews, Edmund said that his wife has been a massage therapist at the Davao Night Market for a year who used to earn P250 per client.
