The named judge was allegedly involved in case fixing, especially involving the illegal drug trade.
President Rodrigo Duterte named a judge from Agusan del Sur as one included in a thousand individuals who are included in his final narco-list.
Judge Hector Salise was the single name plucked by the president from the thick volume being fastened and enclosed in a folder, containing the list of persons who are involved in the illegal drg trade.
Judge Salise was named while he was delivering his speech during a gathering of police women on Davao City on Friday, September 30.

“I’ll name him publicly. I heard he was ambushed somewhere. Nandito ang pangalan niya (his name is here), Judge Hector Salise (of) Agusan del Sur”, said President Duterte during the 9th National Biennial Summit on Women and Community Policing.
The judge and his driver were ambushed last September 23 while passing through a highway in Butuan City. Judge Salise was rushed to the hospital after sustaining gun shot wounds.
He was reported to have been shot in the head and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
