Recently the senator is facing controversial issues linking her to the illegal drug trade in the New Bilibid Prison (NBP). Earlier NBP convicts Jaybee Sebastian said in one of his statement that he headed the gang leaders inside the national penitentiary to sell drugs inside and outside the jail.
Sebastian said that they sell illegal drugs to collect P20 million for De Lima’s campaign but they have failed to reach the required amount by having only P16 million. In return, the convicts will have VIP treatment inside the penitentiary.
