Duterte Breaks His Silence On A Matobato’s Testimonies

After almost a week of zipping his mouth, president Duterte breaks his silence on a self-confessed DDS member’s testimonies during the Senate investigation.

President Rodrigo Duterte breaks his unusual silence in connection to presenting Edgar Matobato, a self-confessed member and hitman of the Davao Death Squad (DDS) in the investigation held by the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights last week.

The hearing focused on the rampant extrajudicial killings of personalities linked to the illegal drug trade since the assumption of President Duterte to the presidency.

According to the president, what Matobato did can be considered as a “subornation of evidence” and can be called a serious crime, especially if his statements were purely lies and worse, the senators rode onto it.

However, the president did not answer if he knows or has met Matobato somewhere in time.
