Senator Ping Lacson: LP’s ‘Plan B’ Unbelievable

LP’s ‘Plan B’ Unbelievable, says Sen. Lacson

LP Plan B – Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson recently said that he believes that the alleged ‘Plan B’ of the Liberal Party (LP) is done to remove President Rodrigo Duterte from office and place Vice President Leni Robredo is “unbelievable and baseless.”

In a report by Philstar, Lacson reacted to Senator Alan Peter Cayetano’s statement wherein Cayetano asked Senator Leila De Lima for a possible demolition job being done in the senate hearing on alleged extra-judicial kil1ings.

“Gusto ko ipakita na merong posibleng motibo ng paninira sa ating Pangulo dito (I want to show that there is a possible motive of destroying the President in this hearing),” Cayetano said during last Thursday. “I’m asking about you (Sen. De Lima), your motive, and the motive of your party (Liberal Party) in this hearing. I am testing whether (the witnesses are credible) or is this part of the Plan B of the Liberal Party para makuha ang Malacañang at manira lang.”

The tension in the senate hearing being chaired by Sen. De Lima is rising as the days go on. Sen. Lacson expressed that he doesn’t believe in what Cayetano have said.

“With all due respect to Alan Peter Cayetano, I think his projection is quite a stretch,” Lacson said. “I believe it has no basis. I know VP Leni personally,” he said.

“I am not that close to her, but I don’t see her as one who would go through that just to assume the presidency,” he added.

The report added that VP Robredo, De Lima, and other LP officials in the Senate already denied the accusations that they are planning things to remove Duterte from office.

Senator Panfilo Lacson ran in the May Elections as an independent and won.
