Livelihood Assistance Offered by DOLE To Davao Blasts Victims
Livelihood assistance offered by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to Davao blasts victims last Friday (September 02, 2016).
On Wednesday DOLE announced that they are ready to provide livelihood assistance and the agency was seeing to also give employment opportunities available for the blasts victims in Davao City according to Labor Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III.
Silvestre said that they could grant to the massage therapists that were affected by the incident. Also if they want to put up a massage parlor in the city they can provide an initial capital for the livelihood, as he told the lawmakers on Wednesday (September 07, 2016) during congressional hearings on DOLE’s proposed P13.3-billion budget for 2017.
Those who are selling barbeques in the night market can be also given a business carts that they can use for their livelihood, Bello said. On September 02, 2016 the blasts happened at the Roxas night market were more than 70 people were injured and 14 lives were taken by the incident.
