Sara Duterte Wants To Dismiss Davao’s Task Force and Police Chiefs

Sara Duterte wants to dismiss Davao’s chief of task force and police chiefs regarding the blasts happened in the city’s night market on Friday night (September 02, 2016)

According to report on Monday (September 05, 2016), Mayor of Davao City Sara Duterte wants to dismiss chiefs of Task Force Davao and police of Davao City. The mayor of the said city said that there was a lack of action was executed by the authorities regarding the blasts on Friday resulting in hurting more than 60 people and around 14 lives were taken by the incident happened.

Davao City Police Director Senior Supt. Michael John Dubria and Task Force Davao Chief Col. Henry Robinson is qualified for their position and Mayor Sara has no questions about it but the lack of action triggered the mayor’s emotion until she wants to dismiss those police chiefs from their duty.

Sara also apologized to the victims and their families and it is a personal issue for her. “Mayor Duterte said she does not want the working relationship between the city government and the Task Force Davao and the Philippine National Police to be strained if the two officials remain at their posts,” quoted by GMA.
