Honest Taxi Driver Returns Phone, Davao City
An honest taxi driver from Davao City has been praised by netizens after returning a phone left by his passengers on August 29, 2016.
In a post by a certain Facebook user named Mae Phelps, she narrated that the scenario happened last Monday, when she, his husband, and her niece went to a mall in Davao City to spend the holiday.
According to Phelps, they have hired a cab to drop them at the entrance of the mall when her husband noticed that his phone seemed lost which Phelps thought he left it home but, her husband insisted.
“I said maybe u forgot it at home, he insist that he bring it. So, he said that he forgot it at the cab/taxi because he put it on his lap. I was in a hurry to go down and buy a load to call my husband phone.”
As they tried calling the husband’s number, Phelps said that it just kept on ringing and ringing but, no one answers.
“It’s ringing and ringing and ringing and ringing…. No one answer the call…
I called twice and no one’s picking up. I keep calling then at the third and fourth call, he was cancelling it.”
But, on the fifth call, someone answered the phone.
“Maam I’m sorry if i keep cancelling the call, i don’t know how to use this phone. I am at the region 12 office and i will go there at the SM Lanang to give the phone back,” said a man who appeared to be the driver of the taxi they have chartered.

As Phelps narrated, he saw the driver waving his hand with the phone. She then went over him and gave a reward for his good deed. But, the man refused. So, she insisted.
Phelps said that a policeman even came to the scene and upon knowing what the taxi driver did, he said to the driver, “Good job and keep it up!”.
The honest taxi driver was named by a certain Kuya Bryan.
That’s a normal thing in Davao City. They have the most honest, kind and trustworthy taxi drivers in the world. Lucky to have experienced that!
