NDF Consultants: Political Prisoners Tortured Under Aquino Administration
NDF or National Democratic Front consultants said that many political prisoners were tortured under the Aquino administration.
The newly release NDF consultants on Friday (August 19, 2016) Alan Jazmines and also a stalwart from Communist Party of the Philippines said that the military and the police officers during the Aquino administration was so rampant to the political prisoners. Alan also said that the political prisoners are being tortured during that time.
“Under the administration of former President Benigno Aquino III, many of my co-prisoners were tortured especially at the Camp Crame at Camp Bagong Diwa. Most of prisoners in this place experienced violence and torture,” Jazmines said.
“There are times that when someone is called to the office they were struck while standing and reading the Quoran. Some are being punched on the stomach and strike on their legs and the one communist prisoner was shot in the butt.
