A flight of a Lufthansa employee to Argentina in February served her the way to encounter a stray. Olivia Sievers, flight attendant meet a stray dog outside her hotel.
“I stroked him, give him some food and we took a walk through the streets,” Olivia said in an email. She said that she had a feeling that the dog is looking for a human friend.
Fortunately, the stray dog found what was he was looking for. Olivia gave him not only the attention he wants but also a name – “Rubio.”
Olivia found that her four-legged friend was waiting again at the hotel after her trip to Buenos Aires. And did again for several times.
His persistence gains a result that was resulted him to be welcomed on the woman’s family. Last week, Olivia, 45 year-old, took him back to Germany.
He was named “Rubio” because of his golden fur. Rubio is a Spanish for “blond”. He is now in Germany along with other dog of Olivia’s family and enjoying the company of Enzo, a corgi-basset mix, and Rottweiler Baerchen.
Olivia Sievers received more than a thousand of friend request on her social media account after their story was reported on one of the TV station in Argentina. Their story inspired others and caused news reports to flood around the world.
Olivia hopes that it will served as an inspiration and encouragement for other people to consider adopting stray dogs.
