In a report by Inquirer, Arum said that he is looking for a possibility that Pacquiao might be having two fights this coming 2017 he might fight WBC junior welterweight champion Terence Crawford and even having a rematch with Folyd Mayweather Jr.

Arum said that if he wins against Vargas, Pacquiao might be having big fights on 2017 and sees that it might end his career.

“Crawford is a possibility, and who knows, Mayweather may be a possibility. You know, Mayweather’s making noises about returning and going to a 50th fight,” Arum said as quoted in the report.

The 37-year-old Filipino boxing hero fought Mayweather in the said “Fight of the Century” and lost in a unanimous decision in favor of Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao fought with an injured shoulder.

Bob Arum thinks that as Pacquiao has a fully healed shoulder, he might win this time against Mayweather Jr.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao, who is a senator in the Philippines, have said that he will be training solely in the Philippines to do his legislative duties. Arum said that it all depends on Pacquiao.

“I don’t know how extensive the work is as a senator in the Philippines. Manny does, the other Senators do, they all feel and Manny feels that he can train here in Manila and not miss any sessions, fight in the period when the Senate is in recess, and give a great performance,”  Arum said.

Pacquiao already announced his retirement in April as he defeated Timothy Bradley in a unanimous decision and said that he will be focusing on his political career and give more time with his family.
