DOTr Identified Subdivisions Could Possibly Opened to Avoid Traffic

On Thursday (August 11, 2016) Department Of Transportation (DOTr) have named the private subdivisions that could possibly opened and available for the motorists to pass by during rush hours.

Spokesperson of DOTr Cherie Mercado said that in Metro Manila they open gates of selected subdivisions near the major roads during rush hours. Those major road are experiencing a heavy traffic diverting the traffic from main road to subdivision roads can minimize the traffic somehow.

She said there’s already a list of subdivisions, the Undersecretary Anne Lontoc had already studied it. They don’t want to release it yet for some reasons. It’s only for Metro Manila for those areas that has choke points.

She also said that when the emergency powers have already grant to the president the home owners of the subdivision have no choice but to follow. The special powers that will be grant to the president was expecting to be at least 2 years to resolve transportation problems and traffic issues in the country.
