Rama Denies Duterte’s Allegations Linked to Illegal Drugs
Rama denies the president’s allegation to him related in illegal drug trade. Regarding Duterte’s drug list former Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama insisted that it’s someone else and not him. Rama is one the alleged government officials that is in the drug list of the president.
In Cebu City Rama claimed that he is innocent for the alleged drug trade in their province as he claimed it in the public. “I’m really shock of what I have heard, I am not expecting that my name is in the list,” he said.
He also declined to name the VIP drug suspects. Among 150 government officials identified as drug lords the former mayor of Cebu is one that’s on the list. In his six-year term as local chief officer he never protected any related illegal drug transactions.
National police are shuffling their official so it is impossible that he will be involved in this case and to be alleged as one of the drug protector. He also pointed that he has three times higher anti-drug operation than the previous administration during his term.
