Luxury Cars and Hot Meat Seized in Misamis
Yesterday (July 27, 2016) Bureau of Customs seized container vans that contain luxury cars and smuggled goods in Misamis Oriental. At the Mindanao Container Terminal in Misamis oriental, customs agents seized two container vans that contain tons of hot meat.
It was discovered that the vans are from France and Netherlands and seized on June 21 and 28. The consignee of the shipment is one UML Farm Trading and Marketing Corporation in Antipolo City.
According to the Food and Safety Act of 2013, the vans violated the law for smuggling of frozen pork. In the other side, another van was also seized for containing three vintage cars worth P4-M. The cars were confiscated by the Bureau of customs for failing to submit the necessary permits.
