According to a report, almost 11,000 OFWs in several large Saudi contruction and maintenance companies are unpaid and stranded in Saudi Arabia. Some of them were no longer working.

Thousands Filipino OFWs in Saudi Arabia are in need of the help from the Philippine government. 

In a report, the Department of Foreign Affairs heard the incident and now taking some steps to help the Filipino OFWs. In response to the crisis, the Department of Foreign Affairs already formed and sent a Rapid Response Team (RRT) to assist OFWs stranded in work camps in Saudi Arabia.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, set to fly to Saudi Arabia. According to an interview, Bello will check the situation and give aid to the stranded OFWs.

Unpaid OFWs in Saudi Arabia are in troubled with the companies that they are working with. Some of their salaries are delayed and some of the OFWs were receiving no salaries from their employers for months.
