Duterte Solicitor General Names Top ‘Drug Lords’

Duterte Solicitor General – The Office of Solicitor General recently named alleged top ‘drug lords’ in the Philippines as part of the Duterte administration’s continues run after drug syndicates and users in the country.

In a report by ABS-CBN, Solicitor General Jose Calida identified the alleged leaders of drug syndicates named Wu Tuan alias Peter Co, Herbert Colangco, and Peter Lim alias Jaguar.

Calida said that Co is part of the “Bilibid 19 gang” who was presently, together with Colangco was detained at the national penitentiary.

Lim, however, was outside the Philippines but still warned about setting foot in the Philippines, added Calida.

Calida told reporters that even President Duterte warned Lim saying that as he steps into NAIA, he will be ‘finished’.

“Chinese nationals, PNP, BJMP execs, LGU execs, other persons of interest – Duterte will divulge their identities in succeeding press conferences, Calida said as quoted in the report.

The SolGen explained that the announcement of names will continue as Duterte will be identifying more officials who are allegedly involved in the drugs trade.

He also explained the alleged role of retired Deputy Director-General Marcelo Garbo Jr. in the drug trade in the country, saying that he is a ‘level five associate/protector calling him a “coddler”.

“A coddler is one who protects the drug trafficking activities of drug lords,” Calida explains.

“You can find it in Dangerous Drugs Law. Penalty will be given to a drug lord, trafficker, and coddler – same penalty,” he added.

But, Garbo denied the allegations saying that the President was just misinformed. He added that President might have been ‘fed with the wrong and pois0n information.’

Other officials named like Chief Superintendent Vicente Loot (retired), Chief Superintendent Bernardo Diaz, Director Joel Pagdilao, and Chief Superintendent Edgardo Tinio have cleared their names with the allegations.

What can you say about this action by the Duterte administration?

  2. Its a huge mistake, big mistake.
Those drug coddlers should be treated as an ordinary drug pusher that had been silenced by their suppliers.
Same principles of “shoot first before you complain” must be apply now otherwise criminal lawyers with the like of Panelo will come to their rescue as what we are experiencing right now.
We are at war, drugs are considered as “weapon technology” categorized as “Weapon of M(removed) Destruction” (WMD) that paralysed the brain of our youth. Anyone who defend those drug lord is an enemy within and committing treason as well.
We are at war and “in war, there is no human rights”.
