President Duterte’s promise could be now a reality in the passing of the Freedom of Information Bill through an Executive Order which could be expected to be sign on friday.

The controversial bill was filed during the 12th but unfortunately it was strongly turned down by oppositions due to the fact that it would be use for the exploitation of their credibility and stain their reputations.
Martin Andanar Presidential Communications Operation Office (PCOO) Secretary told that the proposed draft would be ready by tonight. “By the Grace of God, it will be signed by President Rodrigo Duterte Friday,” he said in a statement.

With the previous administration advocacy of clean government, it turned sour by failing to uphold this bill. By this President Duterte would lament his promise on passing the bill that could uphold transparency to show its commitment for the public to access sensitive information.
