Francisca Susano, World’s Oldest Woman alive?
Francisca Susano – A grandmother from Palawan could be the world’s oldest person at 118 and is turning 119 on September 11.
Francisca Susano, was born on Sept. 11, 1897, in Barangay Oringao in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, according to her birth certificate. Once her birth records are verified by the Gerontology Research Group or the Guinness World Records, she could be officially pronounced as the “world’s oldest living person”.
Today, the Guinness World Records recognize that Emma Morano of Verbania, Italy is the oldest living person at 116 years old. Morano was born on Nov. 29, 1899.
According to a report in ABS-CBN, Susano has been eating fruits and vegetables mostly.
In order to relieve stress, she loves to play the flute!
According to The Visayan Daily Star, Susano was the eldest among the 75 centenarians who received P100,000 each from the Negros Occidental provincial government during the 117th Cinco de Noviembre celebration held at the provincial Capitol in Bacolod City, last 2015
What’s amazing is that, according to Susano, after being married at the age of 14, and bore her first child at 17, Susano’s eldest daughter is now 100 years old!

The report added that Susano had 14 children, and she has 70 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
According to her, her secret in life is eating veggies and fruits, as well as cooking dishes without additives. Also, she was just so inclined music especially playing the flute.
Now that the former President Benigno Aquino III already signed the Centenarians Act of 2016, Susano will also be receiving another P100,000 from the Philippine government as the law grants all Filipino aged 100 to receive such amount
