Netizen Files Counter Petition to “Cancel Carlos Celdran’s” Petition Against Duterte

Controversial tour guide Carlos Celdran a known supporter of Liberal Party presidential candidate Mar Roxas made a petition earlier on Change.org against Pres. Rody Duterte urging him to resign from office even before he takes seats as President caught the attentions of Filipino netizens. The petition of Celdran was countered by an avid Duterte supporter who also made a petition against Carlos Celdran for trolling Mayor Duterte.

A certain Uboa San from Las Piñas made also a petition to “Cancel Carlos Celdran’s Petition Against Duterte For Trolling”. The counter-petition against Celdran was also posted in the world’s largest online petition site, Change.org.

Carlos Celdran is the controversial tour guide in Intramuros, Manila who made headlines earlier for lambasting Mayor Rody Duterte during the campaign period and even calling the supporters and followers of the Davao City mayor as “Dutertards.” He was also attacked attacked by some workers in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector for his unsolicited statement on their support with the 2016 winner of the presidential race.

According to the petition filed by Uboa San, we Filipinos should give a second chance and it’s too early to resign for Mayor Rody Duterte. The petitioner urged every Filipinos to give the mayor a trial and see how he can handle the Philippines.

Here’s Part of the Petition Statements:

“Duterte took the role of an alpha male leader. Real leaders have real brains over emotions. You need people like him (Duterte) so that you can point your dirty fingers and say “he’s the bad guy.” We need a real honest leader to deal people who can’t handle the truth, bigotry, and for those who are afraid to have a big change. Give a second chance. It’s too early to resign Duterte. Give him a trial and see how he can handle the Philippines.”

He added : “One thing, hating Duterte is like Carlos hating against the government and he’ll cost him dearly. Law is a law. Respect! No to propaganda. Period. It is against the government to blame Duterte like this, just as Carlos Celdran did. There is a proper process by the law to handle such violators.”
