PNoy congratulates Rodrigo Duterte

In a report on ABS-CBN, Christopher Bong Go, executive assistant of Duterte, said that PNoy has reached out to their camp in opening talks for the convening of transition teams to start the assumption of office by Duterte.

According to Go, Aquino is expected to issue and executive order to ready a transition team from Malacanang.

Go added that due to the overwhelming election campaign in the last 90 days period, Rodrigo Duterte chose to rest for a while because of exhaustion.

He also said that Duterte went to a certain place in Davao to have a rest and didn’t grant any interviews or did public appearances.

Go was not still sure when would Duterte show in public.

Even the running mate of Duterte, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano added that the mayor needs to “distress from the bruising campaign.

The Senator said that he just finish his remaining term in the Senate and will decline the offer of Duterte to be in his Cabinet because of the one-year ban for appointing candidates who lose in the elections to certain government positions.

In earlier reports, Duterte will be building a “broad coalition” of legislators to make his agenda come to a reality and even to change the system of government to federal-parliamentary system.

Laviña said that there will be a “major rewriting” the Philippine Constitution to shift to a federal-parliamentary system of government and to ease foreign ownership restrictions on business.
