Veteran reporter and one of ABS-CBN’s most respected journalist Ron Gagalac went viral on social media after he allegedly twisted the statement of presidential candidate Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago on what she can say about the controversial BPI account of the leading presidential candidate, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte of Davao City.
According to Facebook user Freddie Ampac who revealed how biased the ABS-CBN reporter, Ron Gagalac twisted the statement of Sen. Santiago and put a bad impression on Mayor Rody Duterte in a news report on TV Patrol. The netizen noted that it is very obvious that Ron Gagalac tries to put the Davao City Mayor in a bad light because of the nationwide circulation of ABS-CBN.
Freddie Ampac revealed that this is how Ron Gagalac went with his spiel in TV Patrol (Verbatim): “At iyan na nga ang pangamba ni Santiago. Baka manalo ang hindi gusto ng tao. Ngayon pa lang kasi ayon kay Santiago marami ng sinungaling sa mga tumatakbo. Itinatago pa umano ang yaman pero daang milyon na ang gastos sa halalan. Tulad ni Mayor Duterte na hindi mailarawan ni Santiago kung anong klase ang pamumuno.”

The concerned netizen questioned the credibility of Ron Gagalac as he noted which part of Sen. Miriam’s statement explecitly or implicitly say that she can’t describe his presidency.
