Trillanes Claims Rodrigo Duterte Has P211 Million in Undeclared Bank Account

Trillanes: Duterte failed to declare P211 Million in his 2014 SALN.

Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV claimed via a telephone interview on ANC’s Headstart that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has P211 million in an undeclared bank account.

During the interview, Trillanes challenged the tough-talking presidential bet to file libel raps against him if his allegations will be proven false.

“That is just the tip of the iceberg. You have no idea how wealthy Duterte is,” he said.

In an article published by Philstar.com, the senator stressed that he is not exposing Duterte’s alleged wealth which he reportedly failed to declare in his 2014 Statement of Assets and Liabilities (SALN).

He noted that did publicized it in order to boost his ranking on vice presidential surveys. Trillanes has been on last spot on the poll surveys conducted by Pulse Asia and Social Weather Stations.

Trillanes said on the phone interview that this is not the first time he publicized someone over alleged corruption practice.

Last year, Sen. Trillanes along with his fellow vice presidential candidate, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano together with Sen. Kiko Pimentel headed the hearings over corruption charges of Vice President Jejomar Binay.

The Nacionalista Party vice presidential bet has been vocal with his support to Sen. Grace Poe, the closest rival of Duterte and running mate of Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero.

“I stand by my track record in exposing political pretenders,” the former Navy officer stated.

Just recently, Trillanes made rounds online after tagging the presidential front-runner a “psycho” and according to him, he doesn’t deserve to win the highest post in the country in the upcoming May 9, 2016 local and national elections.

“I am now so motivated to make sure that he doesn’t become the president of our country. We cannot have a psycho as our commander-in-chief. Within the next few days, he would be exposed as a fraud,” he said.
