Veteran Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado revealed the reasons why she agrees to do a movie with Star Cinema despite her association with the rival station of GMA-7, the Kapamilya Channel of ABS-CBN. The actress topbills the latest Star Cinema movie alongside John Lloyd Cruz.
According to the 28-year-old Jennylyn Mercado she could not pass up on the opportunity and chance to star in the highly anticipated move “Just the 3 of Us” alongside veteran Kapamilya actor John Lloyd Cruz.
In an exclusive interview with Push, the actress was quoted as saying “Why not? Minsan minsan lang dumating ‘yung ganitong pagkakataon so might as well grab it and be thankful, di ba?” she asked. During the interview the Kapuso star revealed that she was all praises for John Lloyd Cruz.
The Kapuso star explained that “Wala naman kukwestiyon sa galing nito. Magaling na artista talaga si John Lloyd kasi kahit na pag-i-internalize siya, pinapanood ko eh. I feel so blessed and sobrang happy ako na dito ako,” she stated.
Meanwhile, director Cathy Garcia-Molina said Mercado was perfect for the role of CJ Manalo, a flight attendant whose audacious claim that she is carrying the child of a pilot named Uno (Cruz) kickstarts the film’s plot.
The highly anticipated movie “Just the 3 of Us” will hit local theaters in the Philippines starting on May 4, 2016.
