UAAP Season 78 Finale.Two-time Most Valuable Player Alyssa Valdez earlier admitted that she is still on pressure following the face off against De La Salle in the season’s finale of UAAP women’s volleyball.

Ending her career in the UAAP in its 78th season, Valdez as the team captain of the Lady Eagles is on tremendous pressure to lead her team to a thirds straight title.

“Well, pressure will always be there,” she said.

She added that even if they are not in the Finals or even if they were just starting, the pressure is there.

As a team captain she also added that it is not her who is the key, she noted that all of them play hard to contribute in the team.

Valdez illustrious collegiate volleyball career is about to end, but the best-of-three series has to go first with their fifth consecutive year arch-rival De La Salle University.

In the previous meetings, La Salle lambasted the Ateneo in two meetings however Ateneo hit with an epic comeback to snatch their back-to-back win.

“Paramg five-setter…And 2-2 pa! Oh my god.” Valdez said earlier while on their rehearsal.

The Ateneo star player added that both teams have been in a long journey especially for the graduating players.

In facing Ateneo anew in the finals, Valdez said that Lady Eagles cannot afford to be complacent against the “always-dangerous” Lady Spikers.

In what has been a tremendous rivalry, Valdez hoped that their “fifth set” against La Salle will be a memorable one.

De La Salle University star Ara Galang earlier aired her excitement to face Ateneo.

“Two years sa amin, two years sa kanila. Yung din ang isang paghugutan naming, ka kailangan gawin naming ang lahat, para lang makuha ang goal naming.” Galang said.

The best of three will start on Saturday, 4PM at the Big Dome.
