The 35-year-old actor who earlier resigned as  commissioner-at-large of the National Youth Commission took to Facebook where he declared support to the widow of Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo who is running for the position of vice president, with Mar Roxas as presidential bet under Liberal Party.

“I’m afraid that there is an important call that I need to respond to: one that unfortunately cannot be carried out while holding an appointive position in government,” he noted in his post.

“As I was challenged to help out in 2010, once again my hands will be on deck for a similar but uniquely fulfilling mission,” he said.

“It is for this very reason that I have personally conveyed to the President my resignation from the National Youth Commission as its Commissioner-at-Large,” he further added.

Dingdon Dantes also stressed on the same post that Filipino voters should:

“Protect the future of this country by supporting the candidacy of leaders whom we think deserve to be at the forefront development (in this elections or the next).”

The husband of phenomenal star Marian Rivera also explained why he vowed support to Congresswoman Leni Robredo.

“I will start today by going beyond the tag lines, the slogans, the gimmicks, and the colors,” he said.

“I will start today by declaring my support for a person whom I strongly believe will champion our common interests of good governance, humble service, and sustainable reform,” he added.

“And I have every reason to believe that she will continue to do this regardless of the outcome of the elections,” he concluded.
