President Benigno S. Aquino III, the supreme leader of the Liberal Party of the Philippines continued to twit the country’s most popular presidential candidate on social media, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte during the campaign trail of the administration party in the province of Cavite. Pres. Aquino alluded to Duterte’s offer to resign from the presidency if he failed to crime and corruption in six months.
During the campaign rally of the administration party, Pres. Aquino was quoted as saying “‘Di ba ang kasabihan…
The Philippine President added further that “”Pero ‘pag tumatakbo ka pa lang, nagsasabi kang ‘Pag ganito, resign ako. ‘Pag ganyan, resign ako. ‘Pag ganoon, resign ako. Sandali lang, boss. Gusto mo ba o ayaw mo? Pakiliwanag naman, kuya,” Aquino said.
Although President Aquino did not mentioned the name of Mayor Rodrigo, but among the presidential candidates he was the only one who promised to do his job of curbing crime and corruption within his first three to six months as President of the Philippines.
The President also accused Mayor Duterte of planning to resort to a “shortcut” if he wins the presidency, citing the mayor’s statement during the February presidential debates. During the speech of Pres. Aquino in Kawit, Cavite, he urged voters to scrutinize candidates in the coming elections and vote for officials and would continue his administration’s programs.
