World-renowned Filipino boxing icon and senatorial candidate Manny Pacquiao of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) became the biggest loser in the latest Senatorial Survey conducted by Pulse Asia and released recently. The loss of Pacquiao on his survey ratings came after his controversial comments against the gay community.
Although the congressman remains within the winning circle but his numbers really drop from 8th-10th place he now ranked at 11th to 14th place in the latest survey conducted from February 15-20, 2016.
During the previous survey, Manny Pacquiao was a consistent topnotchers, as we was included in the elite top 10 senatorial bets with his 46.9% voter preference which is now down to just 34.8%.
According to Pulse Asia out of the 56 individuals vying for the 12 Senate seats, 14 have a statistical chance of winning if the elections were conducted during the survey period. Based upon the results, the administration party candidates continued its dominance, with eight of them included in Pulse Asia’s list of 14 probable winners.
The survey used face-to-face interviews of 1,800 registered voters 18 years old and above. It has a plus or minus two percentage points error margin at the 95 percent confidence level.
