Stephen Curry Breaks NBA’s Records of Straight Three Pointers in 128th Games

Reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry of the defending champion Golden State Warriors broke the NBA’s records of the longest three-point streak, with a total of 128th straight regular-season game with at least one basket from beyond the arc. He broke the record set by Kyle Korver, Stephen Curry made his 128th straight three-point in a game with 5:42 remaining in the first quarter against the Orlando Magic.

Stephen Curry finished with 10 three pointers and a total of 51 points in the Warrior’s 130-114 triump over the Orlando Magic. The score of Curry against the Magic is also an added record, this is the third time that the reigning MVP scored at least 50 points this season.

The Warriors point guard also handed out eight assists and pulled down seven rebounds during his 34 minutes of play against the Magic. Stephen Curry already made 276 three-pointers this season which is 10 less than the record he set during last season’s NBA title run of the Warriors.

During the game with the Magic, Stephen Curry scored with 24 points in the third quarter, including a three-pointer from half-court as the buzzer sounded that lifted the Warriors to a 99-91 lead goin into the final period.

The Golden State Warriors is now chasing the NBA record of 72 regular-season wins set by one of the world’s most famous basketball icon, Michael Jordan who led the Chicago Bulls for a record-breaking 1995-96 season. Right now the Golden State Warriors had a total of 52 wins in 57 games.
