The loyal supporters of the tough-talking Mayor of Davao City who is now running for President is working hard to organize volunteers from the Barangay Level to safeguard the votes intended for the Davao City Mayor who admitted that his party lacks the machinery to support his candidacy.
The son of Mayor Duterte visited the City of Cebu and urged Cebuanos to support his father’s presidential bid, and noted that his father promised to solve the country’s problem n six months, his father will deliver when he becomes president.
During a press conference in Cebu City, Sebastian “Basti” Zimmerman Duterte wooed the Cebuano voters to support his father and at the same time admitted that their relatives in Cebu, particularly the Dutertes, Duranos and Almendrases, are supporting his father’s opponent, Sen. Grace Poe.
The 28-year-old Basti Duterte also also wondered why his father’s relatives in Cebu are not supporting his father, despite the fact that they had their clan reunions in both Davao City and Danao City in the past.
Supporters of Mayor Duterte in Cebu City lead by Dr. Rowena Burden of Doctors for Duterte and Raymond Aquino of Cebu for Duterte Movement said they have now volunteers in every city and municipality in Cebu. They are now organizing volunteers at the barangay level to safeguard Duterte’s votes during the canvassing.
Due to the unavailability of funds for Duterte’s supporters, they raise funds by selling T-shirts, wristbands and fans, among other items, to sustain their campaign in cebu. A headquarters at the Capitol Site, which was provided for free by one of Duterte’s volunteers will be open in the next few days.
