One of the country’s most promising actress, Liza Soberano said that she is flattered that Miss Universe title holder Pia Wurtzbach singled her out as a potential pageant winner but the actress noted that she is not interested in joining beauty contests.
The 18-year-old Liza Soberano played down the comment of Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and pointed out that the Miss Universe didn’t say that she wants her to be the next Miss Universe.
During an interview with ABS-CBN, the “Dolce Amore,” actress stated “Sabi niya pwede daw. To be honest, wala naman po akong plans on being Miss Universe pero I’m not closing any doors. Pero it’s an honor to be complimented by Miss Universe herself,” she told reporters.
According to the breakout actress for the year 2015, Liza Soberano said that she would like to focus her attention to acting, which is what she’s really passionate about and not joining some beauty pageant.
Liza Soberano stated that “Hindi ko po nakikita ‘yung sarili ko sa ganung path. Parang I’m contented with being an artista. I like acting a lot,” she said.
Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach was asked by a netizen who among the Filipina celebrities could be Miss Universe. As part of her response she tweeted “I can think of a lot. But if I had to pick one… Liza Soberano. She’s beautiful.” Pia tweeted.
