(Watch) VP Jejomar Binay Booed at Cebu Sinulog Festival 2016 (Video)

Vice President and presidential candidate Jejomar Binay welcomed an unlikely supporters during the 2016 Cebu Sinulog Festival in Cebu City as the crowd booed the visiting Vice President during his speech which was cut short.

VP Binay was introduced by suspended Cebu City mayor Mike Rama during the formal opening of the Sinulog Grand Parade past 9:00 AM on Sunday with close to 10,000 people inside the Cebu Sports Center witness the event.

Even before the speech of the Vice President he was already booed by some crowd but the boos grew louder when VP Binay stood to give a speech, apparently, the jeering prompted the Vice President to cut short his speech.

VP Binay was quoted as saying “Maayong buntag sa inyong tanan (Good morning everyone). Viva Pit Senyor!” was all he said.

The Vice President, who is the standard bearer of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) attended the Sinulog event with his running mate Sen. Gringo Honasan and senatorial candidates Princess Kiram, Alma Moreno and Harry Roque, as well as his son suspended Makati City Mayor Junjun Binay.
