Miss Universe 2015 winner Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach of the Philippines clarified during an interview with the media that there is “No Boyfriend” rule as what most people would think once awarded with the most prestigious crown in the universe.
The 26-year-old Pia Wurtzbach revealed that there is no rule barring her from entertaining suitors while she is the reigning Miss Universe. Pia wurtzbach clarified that she is not forbidden to be in a romantic relationship as long as she’s able to do her job as Miss Universe.
In an exclusive first interview with ABS-CBN’s “Umagang Kay Ganda” Pia Wurtzbach was quoted as saying “Yes you’re allowed [to be in a relationship]. They don’t try to tell you to not have a boyfriend. Of course not,” she said.
“There’s no ‘boyfriend rule.’ as long as you’re focused with your duties, you know your responsibilities and you don’t let it disrupt you.”
Pia Wurtzbach also stated that the Miss Universe organization does not have anything to worry about as she is currently single. When she was asked if someone is wooing her at the moment, Pia Wurtzbach just laugh and said “Wala pa nga eh. Nagtataka na nga ako kung anong problema kung bakit wala. Nanalo na nga ako ng Miss Universe, wala pa rin? Biro lang. Wala talaga. Sa tingin ko mahirap din kasi yung schedule ang higpit talaga.”
Miss Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was dating President Benigno S. Aquino III before she joined the Miss Universe. Aside from Pres. PNoy also linked to Pia is the Korean superstar and Super Junior member Siwon Choi who invited her to be the guest on their next show.
