Two of the Philippines most beautiful actress, Kapamilya star Liza Soberano and Kathryn Bernardo made it to elite list of “The 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2015” by the British movie critic’s list which was released recently in London. Aside from the two pretty Filipina beauties, Filipino actors also made it to the list of the most handsome faces in the world.
The 17-year-old Liza Soberano placed sixth in TC Candler’s annual ranking of “The 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2015.” Liza Soberano is just behind Iran’s Golshifteh Farahani, “Harry Potter” star Emma Watson, British Fashion Model Jourdan Dunn, Hollywood actress Gal Gadot, and South Korea’s Nana.
Kathryn Bernardo, the lead star of the top-rating Kapamilya series “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” is the only other Filipina in the elite list, she ranked at the 80th place. The young actress finished ahead of American-Irish actress Olivia Wilde, who previously ranked at the No. 11 spot.
TC Candler noted that the list “is not a popularity contest. It is not about the sexiest or the most famous. Rather, the list attempts to inform public opinion instead of reflecting it.”
“This list searches far and wide, listening to the millions of suggestions submitted every year, and tries to put together a list representative of the modern ideal of beauty. Aesthetic perfection is only one of the criteria. Grace, elegance, class, poise, joy, promise, hope… they are all embodied in a beautiful face.”
TC Candler claimed that his list has taken into consideration the opinion of a group called “The Independent Critics,” which are “a diverse group of men and women, young and old, originating from and living in various parts of the world.” The list was presented annually since the year 1990 and this is the first time that Filipinos were included in the elite list.
