Miss Universe First Runner-up Ariadna Gutierrez of Colombia posted photos of her with the cr0wn during her reign, now considered by many celebrity reporters as the “shortest Mis Universe reign,” on her official Instagram account. The reign of Miss Colombia as Miss Universe 2015 winner lasted only for a couple of minutes.
After apologies have been given by the Miss Universe host and the rightful winner of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant, was finally awarded to the Philippine representative Miss Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, the second runner-up Miss Colombia took to social media to share her short-lived reign as Miss Universe winner.
A total of two photos were posted on the official account of Miss Colombia. The first photo had a caption which read ““POR SIEMPRE TU MISS UNIVERSO!! COLOMBIA !!!!!!!#misscolombia” (translation: “Forever your Miss Universe, Colombia.)
The second photo showed her jubilant moment with fellow Colombian and Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega as they relished what would have been a back-to-back win for their country and added the following caption: “(These) moments will always be with me #missuniverse#misscolombia #backtoback Lo logramos COLOMBIA!”
The post of Miss Colombia drew mixed reactions among her followers on social media, some supporters gave congratulatory messages to the 21-year-old Colombian beauty while some slammed her for supposedly being insensitive to the actual winner, Philippines’ Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.
Ariadna Gutierrez was able to wear the Miss Universe crown and sash after pageant host Steve Harvey incorrectly announced that she was the new Miss Universe 2015 winner.
