The tough-talking mayor of Davao City, Mayor Rodrigo Duterte revealed during an exclusive interview with Philippine Star his economic policy once elected as President of the Republic of the Philippines this coming May 2016 national elections.

Mayor Rodrigo Duterte stated that he will surely revive the steel industry of the Philippines citing examples from progressive countries such as South Korea, Hongkong and other Asian countries and territories who relied mostly in the steel industry.
The 70-year-old Mayor Duterte noted that Philippines exports ores to other countries and then went on to buy the finished steel product that compounds the expenses of ordinary Filipinos.
He also plans to lease some islands in the Philippines to the international business communities to run their own show and configure the islands to suit their needs but must protect the environment.
Creating more jobs and factories will make more Filipinos stay in the country as what Hong Kong and Singapore have achieved in their respective countries.
