Fil-Aussie Cyrus Villanueva Gets Standing Ovation on “The X Factor Australia” (Videos)

The lone Filipino contestant in one of Australia’s most popular singing competition, the Fil-Aussie singer Cyrus Villanueva gets a standing ovation during his live performance on “The X Factor Australia” as he continues his journey for a much-coveted spot in the grand finals of the competition.

During the Monday’s episode of the show featuring the Final Four contestants, Cyrus Villanueva received another standing ovation after his performance of the two songs assigned to each semi-finalists.

The Top four were assigned to performed two songs each with curveballs and killer tracks as this week’s themes.

The first song performed by the 19-year-old singer was the song popularized by Ed Sheeran titled “Don’t,” where he left his audience screaming after he perfected the rap part near the end of the song.

Cyrus Villanueva’s second performance then brought the judges to their feet, he was standing atop a huge box, and delivered a soulful rendition of Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight.”
